I just got a new house and Im painting the living room and my bedroom....?

my furniture is khaki, I have a big black tv stand, and wrought iron decorations as well as black decorations....what should I paint the walls in the living room....I want something trendy but calming.I just got a new house and Im painting the living room and my bedroom....?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think ';aquacade'; (# 7130) might be a good choice.

You can take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.I just got a new house and Im painting the living room and my bedroom....?
Cranberry is a nice color with khaki %26amp; black. It could be overwhelming on all walls though. You could do accent wall or two in cranberry and the rest in a rich buttery cream.

Or...put up a chair-rail (or strip of crown molding) Paint above the rail a khaki one shade darker or one shade lighter than your furniture %26amp; below the rail a cream. Rail could be cream or cranberry OR black!

Congrats on new house!!!

oops--just saw your added detail of paneling....maybe paint it?
I think red will look good. I suggest you to paint your living room with red and ash white in alternative pattern. Means paint one wall with red then paint another wall with ash white and so on. Some home improvement software will help you to observe different color schemes on your computer before you actually paint your room. That's the way you can decide for the best. As a reference here I am forwarding you website link that will give you information about home improvement software. The link is
look up feng shui ideas to go with your personal horascope chart some colors might fit your personality and make you feel good.

all the major furnature stores will have the latest designs to give you further ideas and mix the two! theres color charts in art books they give you ideas about contrasting and complimenting opposite colors and shades and if you have any special interests fill in the spaces with objects and colors to do with that theme .. say you was into card games you get the green baze table and the black and red colors on white back ground and bits of blue in the pictur cards. if you carry threw the khaki theme then you would go for more natural and wheaty tones that might involve tropical plants and outdoor themes water and earth light blues and greens. feng shui allows you to break down overwelming colors with screens and sratigicly placed objects plants and shelves ect

Light brown, dark brown or cream color would suit best. But it completely depends upon our taste and desires. What do you like the most, go on with it. Plus, you can also change the covering of your furniture to make it look good with the background color.

I'm also sharing with you some very useful links that will help you throughout
Look into your lighter green earthy tones and remove the paneling it brings the value down unless it's knotty pine and is high lighting a fire place or something. But stay with earthy and neutral tones when it comes to paint.
Go to this site and choose a living room close to your. They have complimentary colors that will go with the wall colors you choose.
