Not sure for site built homes, however I work for a Manufactured Housing retailer in Indiana. I know my houses are cheaper to build per square foot (by about 50%) and I can offer 90% of the same features that site built homes have (drywall, flat ceilings, wood floors, just to name a few. I think the current average is like $ 60.00 to $75.00 per square foot but that is also dependant on the state you live in and the building codes.
