Does putting butter on cats feet help when moving to a new house??! Old wives tail..?

Has anyone tried it?!Does putting butter on cats feet help when moving to a new house??! Old wives tail..?
Hi there...this is an 'old wives tale'. There's no truth to it. The only way this would prevent a cat straying is if he's too busy licking the butter off his feet to go wandering the neighbourhood.

no it is verry harmful to keep them from having bad helth problems slowly (if you can ) take them to the house and every day take him for longer periods of time
Won't work. Just a stupid saying.
is he going to be helping you make a cake? he could butter the dish for you

haha
I think you have it backwards...

you are supposed to put peanut butter on your old wives feet when you move into a new house....to get her to stop being catty...or something like that...
Never heard this before. I have moved quite a few times with kitty. Once we get to the new home I usually shut her in one room and let her explore that room until she wants to leave. We have never had a problem.

Butter on kitty feet would likely be messy.
Never heard that one, but how would butter make them feel better in a new place anyways really? I found when moving that a cat or any animal needs to just get used to the new place by slowly taking their time exploring and sniffing it out...after a day or two they are tearing around like they lived there all their lives anyways.
No sorry, it's all made up.
nope, just like u said its an old wives tail.
