we recently moved into our new home .and ive always felt someone watching me since we moved in ..in fact i get happy to find a reason to leave even if its to go to the store for milk..i see shadows that quickly fade and get woken up in the middle of the night hearing noises in the living room .. my husband is starting to think ive lost my mind ..can someone help?!?Im seeing shadows and hearing noises in my new house am i going nuts?

Sounds like you may have a case of a haunting, but let's take a look at the ';practical'; explanations first. As one of the first answerers mentioned, a high EMF in your home can cause people to have the feels of paranoia, hear things, hallucinate, and intense fear. If you invest in an EMF detector, or rent one from your local hardware store, you can find out if this is the case. Another explanation could be (and I know this may sound really obvious) car headlights passing by. They often can create eerie shadows in your home and many cases can be explained away by this. Also, check the humidity levels in your home and the groundwater levels on your lot. Also, the composition of the ground. This may sound useless, but a lot of paranormal activity takes place in areas that have a high concentration of groundwater and lime deposits. The theory behind that is that the groundwater and lime act as a harness to energy. It actually holds the energy of something that once occurred often in and replays it, like a tape recording. This is a residual haunting. The anomaly doesn't know you are there and won't communicate, it just replays. If you don't come up with anything, I would suggest calling a paranormal investigations team. There are many reputable ones all around.

It is a common symptom to new occupants in a new house to imagine and conjure up imaginary and fictitious beings.
This is due to the psychological and physical attachment one makes with familiar settings in their previous inhabitant. Where the person has habituated (got used to) to their surroundings.
However, A pseudo-psychological point of view is that ghosts/poltergeists or what have you, are somewhat in association or connected with the items being moved/tampered with.
According to this theory perhaps the paranormal activity is linked to the light. (For example: where any of the previous occupiers of the house associated to any jobs involving electricity such as an electrician, or even implicitly from an early background years ago in an industrial plant (I trust You will look into this)

To add to what everyone else has said...these are strange times we are living in. While the house could be haunted, another reason could be that you are becoming more open to the energies that have been around you all along. I know what you mean about seeing things just as you wake up and they fade out. It has been happening to me for about two years. I have gotten used to it. I have been actively spiritual for quite a few years, I think that I am just seeing things that I didn't use to see.
Also, I would suggest that you call on Archangel Michael and ask him to remove all negative energy and entities from your home. See if that helps.
Your house doesn't have to be haunted in order to have spiritual activity in it. Spiritual activity is becoming more common place because of the changes taking place beneath the surface of our world.
It doesn't have to be a negative thing though, so try not to let fear take over.

The feling of being watched seems to happen in houses with a spirit presence - even if nothing else happens. I've had a home from the 1850's that this always happened along the long landing upstairs.
Apart from the smell of candles occasionally, nothing else happened.
Corner of eye stuff is what usually starts first - you think you see a glimpse of something.
If you get spooked - just stay calm and say out loud '; I don't like this - please go '; or something similar.

no i don't think that you are going crazy, do the shadows take the form of a shape or more of an aura. What you might want to do is set up a video camera b/c studies show that camera's tend to pick up things that the naked eye cannot. Talk to your husband more about it make him listen. also, how do you feel physically b/c if it is some kind of evil being we tend to sense that in our inner being through physical symtoms. lastly, i would begin to keep a journal of when you see these sightings b/c what you can look for is a pattern of some sort, like is the shadow showing up the same part of day?
First of all you need to eliminate any earthly reasons to explain what you are seeing and feelings.
There could be highly electric charged parts of your house that can cause you to Hallucinate or actually sense spirits.
You need a professional paranormal person to investigate this for you.

your not going nuts but there are some things that might help...like some one said before have the electro magnetic fields in our house checked high emf readings can cause paranoia and sometimes sickness. also based on your religion maybe have your house blessed if you feel that may help the cause. and maybe even brush up on the history of your house. and if things all continue to go on have an expert come in and take a look

first have your eyes checked and the house treated or inspected for rodents! if both pass your in need of a good prayer. usually housees can sometimes have a build up of energy that criss crosses in earths electrosphere or earths something. so your just going throug enrgy replay of the past people that were there. so far it doesnt even sound far fro haunting unless something is moved.
yet i believe in ghosts theres only a 40% chance that your house is litterly haunted by a person or people.

if you feel you need something to 'do' about it, perform a 'clearing' by burning sage in the affected room/s, whilst announcing that you want the entities/spirits to leave, or give them permission to leave. wont hurt, might help.
Have the electro magnetic fields checked throughout your home. Many times, electro magnetic fields can create the feelings you describe. Fixing exposed wiring and proper grounding will correct it.
