You need to invest some money on either a dog trainer or an obedience class. I would recommend having a dog trainer come to your place so they can witness behavior first hand. See if they can bring their own dog to see how they interact. It may not be cheap but it will be well worth it if you really love your dog. Also, having a dog that is agressive with other dogs can be bad. If your dog should get out of your yard and attack another dog, the other dog could be hurt or yours could be and you could be sued and possibly have your dog taken away. LISTEN TO ALL ADVICE THEY GIVE YOU. Research the dog trainer. Talk to them on the phone a while and make sure that you feel comfortable with them. It's been my experience, that some dog trainers can be rather cold and almost seem to prefer dogs to humans. They need to listen to you and not just lecture. Make sure they only believe in humane training and using positive reinforcement and NEVER hurting your dog. Also, read some books on the subject. Beginner adult dog obedience is great too as it'll get your dog used to being around dogs of all sizes and manners! Worse comes to worse, you may have to work out a schedule when your dogs are outside at different times or build a separate pen for your dog and just make sure it goes for long walks every day. The good news is that both Labs and Collies are usually very friendly dogs and do like being around other dogs for the most pary (especially Labs). They are also two of the smartest breeds and easily trained. How old was your dog when you got it? Do you know if it had a negative experience with other dogs? If so, talk to the trainer about this. If your dog, is still under two years old, this behavior could be a stage. It may be afraid of losing your attention to another dog, so ALWAYS make sure that you pet your dog first rather than immediately petting another dog. Hope I helped. Good luck!!!! Training classes and Obedience classes will help allot also try introducing the new stuff with both dogs on a leash and use a calm way to do it when she acts calm and nice reward and praise her ... will take time and patience... eventually if done right they will like each other
