I just installed a new shower fixture in a new house. hot water just trickles out. it's a single-arm type.

used pex to hook it all up, other fixture's hot water works great. if I turn the handle to all the way hot, full blast, I get lukewarm at best. back off on the pressure, but still at full hot and I get a trickle of very hot. oh, and i checked the dumb ';no scald regulator'; thing, and it's on full hot. this is the second fixture i've installed since the last one I assumed was faulty after taking it apart and looking for some blockage and finding none. now this new one is doing the exact same thing, (different brand) and I would greatly enjoy taking a hot shower now, thanks.I just installed a new shower fixture in a new house. hot water just trickles out. it's a single-arm type.
well there is a adjustment you have to set. look at the directions. you'll see it. Its hard to explain but its easy keep looking at the deirections. Take a break and dont think to hard thats all . lol or ask them at the store they will show you. some of those directions arent the best and some mean it backwardsI just installed a new shower fixture in a new house. hot water just trickles out. it's a single-arm type.
Always check the simple things first. Did you turn the valve back on to that pipe?





Be aware that on some valves if you turn them all the way you are actually closing the pipe again. On those you only turn it halfway.

there is a piece inside the aerator called a watersaver take that out and it might help but i dont think that would cause a trickle but it should increase your water pressure a lot
There's a little knurled plastic piece inside the shower fixture %26amp; thats how you regulate the water so it doesn't get too hot. You may have to mess with it a few times to get it the way you want it.
Sometimes you have to take these things apart to install. If that is the case, look to be sure you have them properly 'timed'. Just look inside and sort of match the notches before re-attaching.
If anti-scald setting is full on, try closing the cold water supply valve until desired temp comes out spigot. You can also go to manufacturers website's Q%26amp;A page.
