Husband works in the city of Atlanta? He will have an ugly commute from Lawrenceville to Atlanta - that's about 30 miles.

Lawrenceville Highway goes straight into town - but it's a bogged down red-lighted, intersection packed 2-4 lane road going through Lilburn, Tucker and Decatur. Your other options (depending on where in Lawrenceville) is down 316 to 85 and straight through ';spaghetti junction'; or crossing over to the Stone Mountain freeway.

Oi. It's out there - you may want to consider moving closer in unless you're planning a family. Don't stop looking - there are so many beautiful areas, and if you're a young couple that enjoys city life - Lawrenceville will seem like the boondocks to you.We live in Miami and are relocating to Georgia, we are contemplating moving to a new house in Lawrenceville?
Well, Atlanta is great, and Lawrenceville is perfect if you never have to actually drive to work. That's the only serious issue this city has-getting around. Its a pretty safe area of Atlanta, although its fairly far from the city proper, so it will make doing things more difficult. There's nothing really to do in Lawrenceville but go to bars and shop at the mall. But you could always hazard the traffic and go in the city if you're craving more cultured activities.
You will be in Gwinnett county. The drive to and from will be extremely ugly. Also, you will be limited to activities in Lawrenceville. Good Luck with your decision.
