Checklist for energy efficient lighting for new house?

Use compact flourescent bulbs, if you really want total energy savings, buy LED bulbs. They cost about $20 to $80, but basically last forever, and never need to be replaced, plus they use almost no electricity, and can still produce the same amount of lumens (how light output is measured).
